THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Food and Civil Supplies Minister C Divakaran has said that Kerala is the only state in the country to have a transparent and fully computerised system to implement the entire gamut of operations from procurement to distribution of foodgrains.
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Water Resources Minister N K Premachandran has said that 75 potable water projects will be commissioned in the state during this financial year. In a written reply in the Assembly on Thursday, he said that around 35 lakh persons would be benefitted from the new projects.

NEW DELHI: Kerala and Maharashtra continued to be in the grip of swine flu with the two states reporting 16 out of the total 17 deaths due to the disease from across the country. While eight deaths each were reported from Kerala and Maharashtra last week, one was reported from Andhra Pradesh, health ministry officials said. All 330 cases reported during the week are indigenous cases.
