After sufficient forewarning, the Goa State Pollution Control Board (GSPCB) has raised the red flag, issuing directions to the Airport Authority of India Tuesday for operating the Dabolim airport terminal without the consent to operate under the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act 1974 and Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act 1981 and for dumping untreated sewage and waste water in the open “thereby causing pollution.”
