NEW DELHI: The Expert Appraisal Committee (EAC) of the Ministry of Environment and Forest (MoEF) has given environment clearance for the expansion of Jindal Power's thermal power plant at Raigarh district in Chhattisgarh. Under the project, Jindal Power, a subsidiary of Jindal Steel & Power Limited (JSPL), will add 2,400 MW (four 600 MW coal-based units).
