JAIPUR: Rajasthan will start getting an additional 60 lakh units of electricity every day after synchronisation of the sixth unit of the Suratgarh thermal power project which was lit up this past Sunday. The State Vidyut Utpadan Nigam has set the target of starting the 250 MW unit by March this year.
BHUBANESWAR: The Orissa Electricity Regulatory Commission (OERC) today restricted Gridco, the bulk supplier of power to the distribution companies (distcoms) in the State, from resorting to load shedding and meet the increasing load of the distcoms from sourcing power from captive power plants.
