Jaishankar Jayaramiah Bangalore: Even as Orissa keeps dragging its feet over land acquisition for mega steel plant project, the Karnataka government has agreed to grant ArcelorMittal and Posco the required land for setting up steel plants on a 10-year lease.
BHUSHAN Steel will spend Rs 28,000 crore to build a 6 lakh tonnes steel plant in the Bellary region of Karnataka, a place other large steelmakers, including ArcelorMittal and Posco are also eyeing to build steel projects.

South Korean steel giant Posco today said it is hopeful of getting about 4,000 acres of land soon for setting up its proposed Rs 54,000-crore steel project in Orissa.
