GUWAHATI: Suspected poachers shot dead a male one-horned rhino in Pobitara Wildlife Sanctuary in Assam today. Official sources said the male rhino was shot at from .303 pistol by a gang of poachers at around 2.30 am. The gang escaped with the prized horn of the endangered species.
