Palanpur: First class judicial magistrate of Vijaynagar,on Friday, granted six-day remand to four persons held with leopard skins on Wednesday night at Vijaynagar in Sabarkantha district. Four members of a gang trading in leopard skins were arrested in a joint operation by state Intelligence Bureau and forest department.
In a gruesome incident of violence against wild animals, villagers in Uttar Pradesh's Chandauli district killed a leopard with spears and iron weapons. Of the six villagers booked for killing the animal, two have been arrested, officials said.
