Aug. 6: The lack of rainfall during monsoon has severely affected drinking water supply in several parts of the state. In Anantapur, an acute drinking water crisis has hit the district after 20 years. Some colonies have not got water for a month. Hyderabad, July 31: The Chief Minister, Dr Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy, said cooperative farming will be implemented from this year in at least two places in each district wherever farmers came forward voluntarily. He was farmers from Raghunadhapalli of Warangal district on Friday evening.

May 12: At least 40 more people were hospitalised at the Wardhannapet government hospital in Warangal. This is in addition to the 100 others who had been hospitalised after consuming contaminated drinking water. People from different localities are now getting admitted to the government hospital after complaining of vomiting, loose motions and stomach ache.
May 10: Seventy people were hospitalised after drinking contaminated water at Wardhannapet mandal headquarters in the district on Sunday. After drinking the water supplied through the pipeline in which drainage water seeped, the victims thronged the government hospital complaining of vomiting and motions.
Over 1.7 million acres of land in Andhra Pradesh are now farmed under Non Pesticidal Management. Almost all the important crops in Andra Pradesh grow in these villages.
