JORHAT: Floods have again caused havoc in north-west Jorhat as the Sholmora Nahatiya embankment along the southern bank of the Bhogdoi river was washed away at two places this morning. The embankment was broken near the Sholmora Bridge and at Nahatiya area. The river water entering through the broken parts of the embankment flooded as many as 12 neighbouring villages of Sholmora area.
The flood water of the river Bhogdoi washed away the Sholmora Nahatiya embankment along the southern bank of the river situated in North West Jorhat at two places today around 11-45 am.
