Another blackbuck death has been reported from the National Zoological Park in the city on Thursday, taking the toll to 13. According to zoo officials, blackbucks are still dying due to severe infection in their intestines caused by consumption of sewage water. However, the authorities added that there is no possibility of further deaths of animals.
After the death of 10 blackbucks, the lives of rest 73 blackbucks in the National Zoological Park in the national Capital are in danger. Due to the consumption of polluted water, the blackbucks are suffering from severe toxemia and intestinal infection. Till now, the zoo authorities have not shifted the bucks to a safer enclosure.
