Delhiites faced the hottest day of the month with the mercury peaking over 42 degrees Celsius on Thursday. The maximum temperature was recorded at 42.3 degrees Celsius ie six degrees above normal. The maximum temperature raised by 1.1 degrees Celsius as compared to Wednesday's 41.2 degrees. On the other hand, the minimum temperature was recorded at 23.6 degrees, four degrees above normal level.

This year, five crore bamboo rhizomes will be planted in the State. The Joint Forest Committees have been formed for making the Bamboo Year successful.
