Jaipur: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Wednesday reiterated that the Central government plans to increase the installed capacity of solar power by an additional 10,000 MW by 2017. Of this, 40% is likely to come from Rajasthan. While speaking at the inauguration of the Fourth Clean Energy Ministerial in New Delhi, the PM said “A solar capacity of about 1,500 MW has already been installed in the country, and an additional 10,000 MW will be implemented by the end of the 12th Five Year Plan, ending in 2017”.
