Now, a mock drill on flood preparedness
Mumbai After a series of terror response drills
, the city will now see a drill to check preparedness for an urban flood. The National Disaster Management Authority will carry out the drill, albeit without water, on February 17 and 18 in Mumbai to asses if the city is ready to face another deluge as in 2005, and how well various agencies are coordinated.

World Bank nod to cyclone projects
BHUBANESWAR: The World Bank has approved the India Cyclone Risk Mitigation Project (ICRMP) for implementation in Orissa.
Phase I of the project, estimated at $ 247 mn, may be implemented between 2010 and 2015 after the appraisal.
ICRMP was initially planned for 13 states but only Orissa and Andhra Pradesh could complete the formalities successfully.
