GUWAHATI, April 11: The main objectives of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) are rural development and employment.

Of this, Rs 6,072 cr had gone to agriculture sector. Nabard had pumped Rs 7,881 crore in Madhya Pradesh state rural refinances through its various promotional initiatives during 2012-13.

The annual plan of the state for 2013-14 has been finalised at Rs 4,100 crore, which is Rs 400 crore more than the last year’s plan.
