OIL registers record in crude production

DULIAJAN, Sept 6 – Nation’s second largest oil company, Oil India Limited,a Navaratna PSU achieved yet another milestone by producing 10000 MT crude oil per day, which is equivalent to 3.65 MTPA on August 15, this year, the day, the nation was celebrating the 64th Independence day. Oil India’s crude oil production was 3.1 MMT in 2007-08.

HPCL plans refinery in Maharashtra

NEW DELHI: Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (HPCL) is understood to have finalised plans to set up a 9-million tonnes refinery in Maharashtra with an investment of around Rs.15,000 crore. Official sources said the Maharasthra Government had offered land places and the company was in the process of giving a final shape to the proposal.

Petroleum exploration deed inked
