The earliest clues to scientists showing interest in military use of weather modification is found in the work of Serbian-born US scientist, Nicola Tesla. He claimed that he had invented a deathray with which he could split the Earth like an apple. Tesla couldn't fulfill his dream but scientists today have sought to perfect this ray.
