human bodies could energise their electronic implants in the very near future. Chemists from Austin-based University of Texas have developed a miniature battery that could run on body fluids. The battery converts energy produced during metabolism into electricity. It could be inserted very easily next to glucose-containing body fluids found, for instance, under the skin or in the spinal cord.
