Green roads
Engineers in Bhutan will now use eco-friendly techniques to build roads in the country. The National Environmental Commission has introduced guidelines for road and bridge construction. "To do this we have to change our traditional methods like using bulldozers and cutting into hillsides. Instead, we will now use excavators and retain the walls,' said Kunzang Wangdi, superintendent engineer, road divisions.
