Say no to France
IF THE French go ahead with their plans to ensure nuclear tests, the Japanese will have nothing to do with them. Forty eight legislators have joined forces with Citizens for Peace - a non- parliamentary group - to issue a joint statement urging the government to recall Japan's ambassador to France.
There are others who are chafing for more radical action. Seven groups representing Hiroshima's atomic bomb victims announced that they would campaign for the boycott of French products. But what is more interesting is that they are receiving support from traders, wh6 stand to lose if French products are shunned.
For example, Bic Camera, a frontrunning camera and electronics discount chain, has pledged to urge its customers to stay away from all that carries the "Made-in-France" label.
