Clocking population
HINDUSTAN Machine Tools is in the process of fabricating three 23 ft X 11 ft and 30 20 ft X 8 ft population clocks that will indicate, along with the time, the increase in size of the population at each point of time. The government, which is acquiring the clocks at a cost of Rs 2.31 crore, will instal them at strategic points that ensure maximum visibility.
