Campaign to focus on loan waiver: Krishna
Former Karnataka chief minister S M Krishna said on Wednesday that the Congress hopes to reap rich benefits from the Centre's farm loan waiver scheme. However, he conceded that the price rise could have "some impact' on the Assembly elections in Karnataka. Krishna, who is the chairman of the party's election management and coordination committee, added that a dip in inflation could provide "comfort level' to the party. Stating that the Rs 60,000-crore loan waiver for farmers would be "one of the talking points', he hoped that agriculturists would react "positively'.
