US - Japan Team Plans New Nuclear Reactor In Wales UK: April 15, 2008 LONDON - A US -Japanese consortium is working on a plan to build a new nuclear reactor in Wales that would not involve Britain's biggest nuclear power firm, British Energy, the Times newspaper said on Monday. The paper, without citing sources, said US nuclear services group EnergySolutions had teamed up with Japanese-owned nuclear technology firm Toshiba-Westinghouse, to possibly build a new nuclear reactor at Wylfa on Anglesey.
