MINDING THE MUCK
The Nepalese government has finally made up its mind about what it wants to do with the capital's garbage. It has declared Okharpauwa in Nuwakot district as the final disposal site for the muck. This area will ultimately be developed into a permanent landfill site. The government has also urged the private, business and non-governmental sectors to take initiatives to use the garbage by setting up compost and recycling units.
