Global food crisis: Why blame India?

Lambasting India for its policy to deal with the global food crisis, the United States says that the ban imposed by India on foodgrains exports has hit hard its neighbours in South Asia. This is also fueling inflation world over. At a conference organised in Washington on 'India's rising responsibility & partnership in the 21st century, organised by the Heritage Foundation, the US deputy secretary for international trade, Christopher A Padilla also accused India for creating unstable conditions in the market.
