Major win for Solar
Hyderabad, July 16: Hyderabad based Solar Semiconductor, a manufacturer of photovoltaic power generation units, has entered into a supply contract worth Rs 3,000 crore with AS Solar, a German firm. The contract value is $695 million and it will be executed over the next three years. At current rates, this could account for 160-170 mw of power generation units. "We currently have a fabrication capacity for 80 mw in Hyderabad and we are setting up another plant with a capacity for 40 mw," said Mr Ravi Surapaneni, vice president, Solar Semiconductor.
