Chennai-based BGR bags power project

Chennai, July 16: BGR Energy Systems has bagged engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) from Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam to construct 2 x 600 MW thermal power plant. Stating that the new plants will come in Jhalawar, Rajasthan B G Raghupathy, chairman and managing director, BGR Energy said that the size of the deal is around Rs 4,900 crore. The project will be done in two phases, Unit I will commence its operation in 39 months, while Unit II will start its operation in 42 months.
