Punjab to spend Rs 1.21 billion on agriculture research
The Senior Punjab Minister, Raja Riaz Ahmad has said Rs 1.21 billion will be used to promote agricultural research in the current fiscal year. He told in a workshop on 'agricultural productivity' in a hotel on Saturday that research and development in the agricultural sector was the need of the hour and his government was encouraging stakeholders, especially the private sector, to help promote research activities in this field.
