BJP questions corporations decision to allow construction on forest land
Mumbai, July 29 The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has alleged that the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has recently granted permission for construction in forest area, thereby disregarding the Bombay High Court's verdict declaring constructions in forest land illegal. BJP leader in the BMC Bhalchandra Shirsat and corporator Manoj Kotak have now asked the civic administration to clarify whether the new permits are legal or residents staying here will once again be subjected to legal hassles.
