Rajasthan constitutes urban poverty mission

JAIPUR: The Rajasthan Government has constituted a State Mission on Urban Poverty to bring down the number of poor living in the towns and cities to half by 2015. Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje had announced the decision to establish the mission in her Budget speech in the Assembly earlier this year. The Mission, headed by Ms. Raje, will render essential services in the cities and provide social, economic and infrastructure facilities to vendors and women belonging to weaker sections.
