Love at first byte

Love at first byte Kamasutra in multicoloured graphics with sound effects thrown in for good measure, is now available on CD-Rom. The multi-media extravaganza, incorporating text, sound, pictures and colour, is the handiwork of Repro Interactive, a group of computer buffs backed by a subsidiary of Apple computers.

Dushyant Mehta, director, Repro Interactive, says, "The only problem we ran into was that, unlike video where there are 25 frames per second, the computer chip had a resolution of 15 frames per second, making the movements in the programme slow and jerky. This will soon be rectified with a more powerful chip which would provide more fluid movements."

Those interested in erotica can now put together a fantasy by choosing a couple and the background, as well as various sounds from nature. Users also have the option of selecting the music or the combinations of musical instruments. Most of the dance and other sequences were shot on video cameras and then transferred to the computer programme.
