Towards a new natural gas policy
The current approach towards natural gas in India is based on the view that the country is short of this energy resource. It also sees gas as distinct from crude oil. These are not valid propositions. India needs to take a very different approach towards natural gas, if this fuel is to contribute to long-term energy security.
