Falling back on rain

Falling back on rain Residents of Bangladesh's arsenic-affected areas are turning to rainwater as a safe and easy source of drinking water. Villagers in the Charghat and Bagha sub-districts are among the worst hit by arsenic. They have set up rainwater harvesting systems such as ferro-cement tanks, brick tanks, ferro-cement jars, sub-surface brick tanks and earth tanks in cooperation with the Forum for Drinking Water Supply and Sanitation, a non-governmental organisation.
