Draft Environmental impact assessment report of expansion of thermal power plant, Tamnar, Raigarh
The draft EIA report on expansion of Jindal Power Ltd’s 2400 mw thermal power plant at Tamnar in Raigarh, Chhattisgarh. Ministry of Environment and Forests has now raised objections on the project and withdrawn the terms of reference saying that the required land for such a large project was not available at the site.
This draft EIA report has been prepared for the purpose of Public hearing to be organized by Chhattisgarh Environment Conservation Board as per the provisions of EIA Notification dated 14th September, 2006. The terms of reference for this EIA was approved by the Ministry of Envrionment & Forests, Government of India.
