Karnataka has set an ambitious target of creating a capacity of 1,850 megawatt (mw) by 2006. An increase of 1805.4 from the 44.6 mw as on March 31, 2001. But Karnataka's Renewable Energy Development Limited (KREDL) seems bent upon making it difficult for itself to achieve the target. The wheeling charges it imposes are the highest in the country
