Augmentation of depleted ground water level, sustainable development, conservation, management, use of ground water and prevention of water pollution Standing Committee on Water Resources (2010-2011) present this Tenth Report to Parliament on 'Augmentation of Depleted Ground Water Level, Sustainable Development, Conservation, Management, Use of Ground Water and Prevention of Water Pollution'. The Committee's examination of the subject `Augmentation of Depleted Ground Water Level, Sustainable Development, Conservation, Management, Use of Ground Water and Prevention of Water Pollution' inter-alia included the review of the total ground water resources of India (including distribution), issues relating to development, depletion and pollution of ground water resources in various parts of the country, measures taken by Government for ground water augmentation and other related aspects including the views of the Ministry have been dealt within this report.
