Clean Delhi
The Supreme Court has ordered the relocation of nearly 50,000 industrial units from non-conforming residential areas to end environmental degradation. The Delhi chief minister signalled the first phase of the relocation when he laid the foundation stone for a building which will house 5,000 factories in Trans-Yamuna area of the Capital. Nearly 359 semi-finished multi-storeyed flatted factories at the site will be handed over to allotees by October 2, this year. The Trans-Yamuna project is estimated to be Rs 23 crore.
