Draft IAEA action plan on nuclear safety
The purpose of this action plan is to define a programme of work to strengthen the global nuclear safety framework. The plan consists of actions building on the Ministerial Conference on Nuclear Safety convened in June 2011, the conclusions and recommendations of the Working Sessions, and the experience and knowledge therein. It directs the process of learning and acting upon lessons following the accident at TEPCO’s Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station in order to strengthen nuclear safety, emergency preparedness and radiation protection of people and the environment worldwide.
