The Water Act of Bhutan 2011
This Act shall be called The Water Act of Bhutan 2011. This Act shall apply to all issues related to water resources of the Kingdom. This Act hereby repeals the provisions of any other Acts, regulations and administrative instruments which are inconsistent with this Act. The purpose of this Act shall be: To ensure that the water resources are protected, conserved and/or managed in an economically efficient, socially equitable and environmentally sustainable manner; and To establish suitable institutions.
