TOGO
Togo is planning to eliminate ozone-depleting substances (ods) by 2005 instead of the 2010 deadline set by the Vienna Convention and the Montreal Protocol. This is the objective of the national sensitisation campaign launched by Koffi Adade, the country's minister of environment and forestry production. The campaign aims to sensitise all the sectors concerned, such as technicians in the refrigerating sector, regarding the harmful effects of ods, which are mainly emitted by refrigerators, fire extinguishers, air conditioners and freezers, among other things.
