Power to hospitals
The Supreme Court has sought suggestion to improve the supply of power to the public hospitals in the Capital immediately. In this regard, it has directed the secretary or additional secretary of the Union ministry of power to convene a meeting of the concerned officers of the National Thermal Power Station, Central Electricity Authority, Delhi Vidyut Board, PowerGrid Corporation and New Delhi Municipal Committee. Justice G T Nanavati and Justice S Saghir Ahmad made this order after hearing a public interest petition relating to the supply of power to the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences and other public hospitals in Delhi.
