ARGENTINA
The Argentine house of representatives has recently approved the ratification of the Kyoto Protocol. "With this, Argentina formally backs the survival of the agreement,' said Juan Carlos Villalonga, energy campaign coordinator of Greenpeace, an international pressure group. According to him, Argentina is already facing the effects of climate change such as floods, droughts, change in rainfall pattern and increase in tropical diseases such as dengue.
