Draft Goa Mining Policy (Major Minerals) 2012
The draft mining policy stated that a suitable framework will be designed to ensure mining along with suitable measures for restoration of the ecological balance that had been disturbed so far due to mining. The draft Goa mining policy (Major Minerals), 2012 further stated that the closure of mines has to be systematically planned and ecological balance will be restored including utilization of existing pits for water conservation and harvesting of crops.
