A study of energy efficiency in the Indian cement industry
The report is the result of a two-year study on the technology and policy options for improving energy efficiency of the Indian cement manufacturing industry. It takes into consideration the diversity in processes, raw materials, fuels and operating conditions. It provides analyses and insights for the implementation of Perform-Achieve-Trade (PAT), which is a major initiative of National Mission for Enhanced Energy Efficiency. The PAT is a market-based mechanism to improve the energy efficiency of manufacturing industries.
