JUSTICE FLOWS
As a sequel to a Delhi High Court order, a judicial committee has been established to ensure the availability of drinking water to the capital's residents. The mediation of the HC is part of the process of "judicial intervention to ensure human rights". The 2-judge bench had ordered the Municipal Corporation of Delhi to form an expert committee for addressing the problem of water shortage in August 1994. The committee is headed by the engineer-in-chief of the Delhi Water Supply and Sewage Disposal Undertaking, S Prakash.
