Cheyyur Ultra Mega Power Project (4000 MW): Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) report
In the aforesaid backdrop, policy on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of Cheyyur UMPP is broadly framed to empower the project affected families in particular and the population in the study area in general, in every possible way and to improve their overall quality of life and standard of living. The policy is framed with the purpose of social and cultural development in the area, imparting education, training and social awareness especially with regard to the economically backward classes for their development and generation of income to avoid any liability of employment. All measures adopted for the purpose shall be environment friendly and socially acceptable to the local people and society. The following aspects have been covered under the CSR activities: Educational Facilities; Health Care and Medical Facilities; Infrastructure Development; Economic Development; Social and Cultural Development.
