SAARC development goals: Bhutan country report 2013
The SAARC Development Goals (SDGs) – Country Report 2013 is the second edition by Bhutan on the progress of SDGs. This document is a testament to Bhutan’s full commitment in achieving the SDGs. Indeed Bhutan's socio-economic development is guided by the philosophy of Gross National Happiness, which is holistic and addresses all aspects of human development even beyond that covered by the SDGs. This report takes stock of the progress made thus far in each of the 22 goals and identifies issues and concerns that require more attention. It is also intended to raise awareness among the decision makers and renew political commitment towards achievement of the SDGs.
