Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Jagat Narayan Viswakarma & Ors. Vs. Union of India & Ors. dated 04/02/2014 regarding industrial pollution in Singrauli and Sonbhadra. NGT order has said that "in the Districts of Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh and Sonbhadra, Uttar Pradesh no fresh industry would be permitted to establish and operate unless they have obtained the Environmental Clearance, consent to establish and operate from the competent Authority as may be applicable to the respective Units and in accordance with law".
