Order of the National Green Tribunal (Central Zonal Bench, Bhopal) in the matter of Surendra & Anr.Vs. State of Rajasthan & Ors. dated 06/03/2014 regarding mining taking place within 1000 mtrs. from the boundary of the Sariska Tiger Reserve as alleged by the Applicant. The Applicant specifically in his affidavit filed on 04.12.2012 before the Hon’ble High Court wherein it has been stated that Khasra No. 1196/1260 is at a distance of 569 mtrs. from the Core / Critical Tiger habitat of the Sariska Tiger Reserve and falls within the notified ESZ of Aravali hills. The Tribunal has directed the State of Rajasthan to file information with regard to the distances of the existing mines in the area in dispute around Sariska Tiger Reserve.
