Reducing poverty through climate action: a strategy for global development leaders
This report assesses poverty and climate change and identifies opportunities to jointly tackle these challenges. It argues that adaptation of global development goals will lead to poverty reduction in ways that support low-carbon, resilient, and sustainable economic growth. The potential development goals include: (i) Ensure sustainable agriculture, food security, and good nutrition, (ii) Support sustainable and resilient economic growth, employment, and infrastructure, (iii) Secure sustainable energy, (iv) Ensure healthy ecosystems and biodiversity, (v) Ensure healthy lives.
