While the disease prevalent in West Bengal's Murshidabad district has been officially declared as Influenza A, doubts over its true nature still persist.
The deaths in the region have been attributed to a combination of Influenza A and malnutrition. The report of Pune's National Institute of Virology (NIV) bears this out. But according to the Kolkata-based National Institute of Cholera and Enteric Diseases
